Our Collections

Every Standard Object edition begins with a single point of view.

Individual photographs are selected, edited, and assembled into cohesive bodies of work that explore a shared atmosphere rather than a shared subject.

Each collection invites a different way of looking.

Study No. 01

Summer Objects

Summer Objects is a study in stillness — six photographs that turn ordinary things into quiet subjects: a bottle of oil, a bowl of eggs, a handful of grapes, an object worn soft by hands. Shot in the high, unforgiving light of summer, each image finds its subject through shadow as much as substance, letting warmth and texture do the talking. There's no story being told here, only a moment observed closely enough to notice what makes it worth keeping.

Curator's Note: We removed more photographs from this edition than we kept. Each remaining image earned its place by continuing to reward attention over time.

Arena

Arena moves into motion — charrería captured in the dust and gold light of the ring, where discipline looks like instinct and every gesture carries generations behind it. Riders suspended mid-jump, silhouettes thrown across sun-bleached walls, a saddle left resting after the work is done: this collection is less about the sport than the ritual underneath it. Arena trades stillness for rhythm, but keeps the same reverence for what's easy to overlook.

Curator's Note: The first image selected for this edition was La Vuelta. Everything else followed from there.

Study No. 03

Last Call

Last Call lives in the hour most people don't photograph — smoke curling under a single light, cards cut at a candlelit table, a hand steady over green felt. It's nightlife stripped of performance: no crowd, no soundtrack, just the small, unguarded gestures that happen once everyone's stopped pretending to leave. Shot low, close, and warm, this collection captures the tactile, half-lit intimacy of the bars that never quite close on time. It's the most personal collection yet — a diary entry instead of a caption.

Curator's Note: Each photograph in this edition observes a different corner of the bar, lingering at the edges rather than the center.
